Additive manufacturing workflow software provider to open a new office in Munich as part of its plans for expansion

AMFG, the leading provider of additive manufacturing workflow software, has announced its plans for global expansion with the opening of a new international office in Munich, Germany.
AMFG, which has its headquarters in London and a sales office in Lisbon, Portugal, offers the industry’s only end-to-end additive manufacturing workflow software solution, spanning project management, production planning and scheduling, post-processing management and communications tools for suppliers and OEMs.
Leading AMFG’s expansion into the German market is the company’s Head of R&D and Partnerships, Felix Doerr said, “The decision to expand our presence into Germany was a logical step in our business growth strategy. Germany has long been a hub for industrial additive manufacturing. As we continue to increase our presence within the enterprise sector, having an additional sales team in Munich will bring us closer to many of the industry’s leading manufacturers and to our existing customer base, both in Germany and on the continent.”
As part of its plans for expansion, AMFG also plans to accelerate its product development to further enhance its workflow software capabilities. Just last month, the company announced it had received Innovate UK funding to develop its machine learning technology for its additive manufacturing workflow software platform.

“In 2019, we’re heavily focused on ensuring that our software solutions remain best-in-class and enable manufacturers to scale their AM facilities,” says Doerr.
He also added, “For example, we’re working with several machine manufacturers to achieve full machine integration and connectivity. We’re also developing more capabilities for our production management solutions, with the aim of adding more automation to the process. We have quite a few exciting announcements in the pipeline that will bring us closer to achieving our vision of autonomous manufacturing.”
“The real benefit of the AMFG platform is that it offers the widest scope for end-to-end additive manufacturing. A lot of companies, in Germany and beyond, have shown a lot of interest in our software, and how additive manufacturing workflow software can help them fully realise its potential.”
AMFG’s customers include ACEO®, a subsidiary of global chemical giant Wacker Chemie AG, and leading AM specialists, ARRK Europe and Paragon Rapid Technologies.
