Flashforge Unveils New Enclosed Adventurer 4 FDM 3D Printer

Flashforge, manufacturer of consumer-level and professional-industrial 3D printers, unveiled a new FDM 3D printer to its range of offerings – the Adventurer 4 FDM 3D printer. Built upon the previous Adventurer 3 machine, this enclosed 3D printer comes with a range of features that deliver greater printing ease to its users.

Few of its notable features include the large build volume, levelling free platform and removable nozzles.

Features of Adventurer 4 FDM 3D printer

1.    Removable Nozzle

Adventurer 4 FDM 3D printer comes with three nozzles. In addition to the default 0.4mm-240℃ nozzle, it comes with 0.4mm-265℃ nozzle in the package box. The nozzle featues a one-push nozzle release system so that users can swap one to the other quickly.

Pre-order Offer: The pre-order offer from Flashforge includes a 0.3mm-240℃ nozzle, a 0.6mm-265℃ nozzle, and a flexible spring sheet kit.

2.    Large Build Volume

Just like its predecessor, the Adventurer 4 is also a fully enclosed unit. An enclosure prevents unwanted airflow and dust while also keeping the temperature inside the enclosure warm. All-in-all the enclosure can help in better 3D printing results.

In addition to the enclosure, the printer boasts of a larger build volume. The Adventurer 4 has a 250mmx220mmx200mm build volume. It also comes with a HEPA 13 filter and an enlarged spool holder able to hold 1-kilogram filament spools.

3.    Specially Designed Build Plate

The build plate in the Adventurer 4 FDM 3D printer is an 8mm thick aluminium plate. This CNC-made plate is super-flat and is not deformed even upon exposure to high-temperature. Above the aluminium plate, sits a magnetic surface plate that has a slight flexibility to help in popping out the printed models.

4.    Leveling free Platform

Adventurer 4 adopts nine-point bed calibration setting, a levelling-free system that allows user not to manually level the build plate. Users just tap the button on screen to finish levelling.

5.    Newly Iterated Flashforge Slicer

Flashforge recently updated their FlashPrint slicer software to version 5.1.1. This new version makes the Adventurer 4 mighty impressive. FlashPrint5.1.1 allows users to monitor and manage multiple 3D printers. An attractive feature of Adventurer is Time-lapse video. On board webcam of Adventurer 4 helps user to view the printing process online remotely on their computer and in real time, while the time-lapse function tap on, the whole printing can be saved as videos on the Adventurer 4 3D printer. After print finished, users can watch the videos on the printer or copy the video files to computer.

6.    Applications of Adventurer 4

Adventurer 4 FDM 3D printer supports a wide range of materials, better meeting the printing requirements of 3D designers and structural engineers. It could be used to verify prototypes, test models in outlooks, structural features, and so on. Once thoroughly tested, the prototypes could be used for low-volume business production.

Adventurer 4 is also appropriate for educational purposes. A good 3D printer would be extremely beneficial in stimulating students’ creativity and imagination in the classroom.
