Prototyping

The prototyping facility of Marcopolo boasts of dedicated engineers and designers ready to help customers in each stage of new product development thereby reducing manufacturing lead times with greater cost efficiency.

The facility is capable of producing fully-functional prototypes for various applications like general engineering prototypes, architecture, non –invasive prototypes for the healthcare sector, education and academics, etc.

Speaking about the core business, Aditya Kumar, Managing Director of Marcopolo, said, “Our main business supports the R&D activities for automotive applications for manufacturing of interior and exterior plastic components for vehicle testing and design validation using various methods of 3D printing and secondary processes such as Vacuum Casting and Soft Tooling.”

The facility consists of various 3D printing technologies like Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM, Stereolithography (SLA) and Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) printers. All these printers serve different applications and by leveraging their expertise the team at Marcopolo carefully manufacturers the right product with the right technology and offers the optimum solution to the customer.

Prototyping requirements are also catered through other technologies like Vacuum casting and CNC milling processes.
