PostProcess Technologies Inc., the first and only provider of automated and intelligent post-printing solutions for industrial 3D printing, has announced that Primary Manufacturing, a South Dakota 3D printing service bureau, has installed DEMI 430™ automated resin removal solution.
Primary Manufacturing has continually been committed to keeping their additive technologies ahead of the curve, which is why they were eager to further connect their workflow’s digital thread with an automated post-printing solution. Particularly, Primary Manufacturing sought post-printing improvements for their resin printing processes. Employing state-of-the-art technologies like Carbon DLS and 3D Systems’ Figure 4 printers, Primary Manufacturing found traditional resin removal methods to be crippling to their desired throughput and productivity levels.
DEMI 430™ Post-Printing Solution
The DEMI 430 automated resin removal solution employs patented Submersed Vortex Cavitation (SVC) technology to effectively remove excess resin from parts via submersion in PostProcess’s proprietary detergents. Software intelligence ensures that 3D printed parts are uniformly, consistently, and reliably exposed to detergent and cavitation as they undergo post-printing. By finishing more parts in less time, the addition of the PostProcess solution has enabled Primary Manufacturing to continually meet their daily rapid production and scaling goals.
Ladd McCluskey, President at Primary Manufacturing, said, “We are committed to serving small businesses and tech giants alike, but the ability to do that stems from keeping up with the latest technological advances. While it’s easy to primarily focus on the latest and greatest print technologies, it’s clear to us that digitized post-printing is essential to leveling up productivity and throughput. Above all, we’re delighted at the ability of the PostProcess’ post-printing solution to make resin removal safer, more pleasant, and less time-consuming for our team – who are the key to our success.”
Nate Harris, Vice President of Sales, North America, PostProcess Technologies, said, “We’re pleased to see the DEMI 430 enabling efficiencies at one of the United States’ top additive companies while simultaneously maintaining the high part quality that Primary Manufacturing is renowned for. We look forward to seeing how our digitized approach and specially developed resin removal detergents will continue to revolutionize throughput for Primary Manufacturing.”
