Snapmaker, a tech company that develops, manufactures, and sells desktop 3-in-1 3D printers, announced that its next-generation Artisan 3-in-1 3D Printer, will be available for pre-order at $2,799 with free shipping on Snapmaker’s official store on August 9th at 7 a.m. PDT.

The Artisan 3-in-1 3D Printer is ideal for both beginners and experienced users. Artisan is the result of 516 days of work spent vastly improving Snapmaker’s flagship product Snapmaker 2.0, which raised $7,850,866 USD on Kickstarter as the most funded technology project in 2019. When compared to Snapmaker 2.0, it not only inherits the same high quality and performance that Snapmaker’s products have always had, but it also establishes a new standard for 3-in-1 printers. Artisan can meet the needs of various fabrication scenarios and truly transform your desktop into a workshop.

Key Features of Artisan 3-in-1 3D Printer

  • Next-gen Linear Module

Steel guiderails made by CNC grinding at the micron level are embedded in the new linear modules, bringing industrial-grade transmission technology to desktop fabrication. This results in a significant increase in precision, rigidity, and durability, providing you with a fast, accurate, and consistent manufacturing experience.

  • 400mm*400mm*400 mm large work area

Artisan features a 400mm x 400mm x 400mm work area, where you can create larger projects in one piece.

  • Quick-swap design

Its quick-swap platforms and tool heads enable users to shift between three functions in one minute. No more screws.

  • 300°C Dual Extrusion 3D Printing

Artisan can print with not only dissolvable and breakaway supports, but also tricky materials like nylon, thanks to dual extruders that can reach temperatures of up to 300°C. Even at high speeds of 150-180 mm/s, an optimised transmission system and motion control algorithm enable 0.1 mm dimensional accuracy. Automatic bed levelling and dual extruder Z offset calibration make preparing your work a breeze.

  • 10W High Power Laser Engraving & Cutting

Artisan, equipped with the latest 10W Laser Module, is capable of faster and deeper cutting on more materials, as well as refined laser engraving. The 10W Laser Module can engrave at up to 6000mm/min and cut through wood as thick as 8mm in a single pass.

  • 200W CNC Carving & Cutting

Artisan boosts the CNC performance to 200W. Its power has increased by 300 percent and its max spindle speed has increased by 50 percent, making it 6 times faster in machining on hardwoods like beech, with dimensional accuracy of up to 0.2mm.

  • Integrated Control System with Ultra-wide 7″ Touchscreen

The power module, emergency stop button, master control, and touch screen are all combined into an Integrated Control System in Artisan, altering how you interact with the touchscreen and the entire controller.

  • Enclosure Equipped

Artisan comes with a compatible enclosure, offering an extra layer of safety during the making process.

“Artisan leverages 3D printing, Laser engraving & cutting, CNC carving & cutting with enhanced capabilities and combines the ease of use as well, making it more user-friendly than with its straightforward process. By fully integrating high-quality hardware, all-in-one software, and a user-friendly interface, Artisan ensures both efficient workflow and high-quality print results.”

– Daniel Chen, CEO and Product Manager at Snapmaker

Snapmaker Artisan will be launched on the official website on August 9th. The pre-order price will be $2,799 with free shipping.
