Future ready cloud platform designed to support the 3D printing workflow
Ultimaker, one of the global leaders in desktop 3D printing, launched the Ultimaker Cloud platform at the ongoing TCT Asia 2019 event in China. Ultimaker Cloud will be available from March 19, 2019 along with Ultimaker’s popular slicing software Cura 4.0, which features an updated user interface.

Ultimaker Cloud is a future ready platform that supports the professional 3D printing workflow. The initial cloud services under the platform are remote 3D printing, unlimited access to the Marketplace, Marketplace ratings, and the possibility to backup user settings for remote access.
Ultimaker Cloud forms a crucial platform solution with capabilities to simplify the user workflow ensuring compatibility with a wide variety of software applications and materials.
Ultimaker runs on an open-source strategy which enables key ecosystem partners like CAD software providers, material manufacturers to seamlessly integrate with the Ultimaker Cloud. Ultimaker believes that these integrations will provide additional value to its users resulting in a hassle-free, reliable, and seamless 3D printing experience.

Backups: Ideal user settings can now be kept in the cloud and they can be retrieved at any system and location
Remote printing: Print jobs can be sent to network-enabled Ultimaker printers from anywhere in the world, as well as monitored so that users can stay informed of processes.
Marketplace: Users will get an exclusive access to print profiles configured by material experts from leading brands. Registered users can browed the marketplace and choose the ideal material for an application and optimized settings for the best results are automatically populated in Ultimaker Cura.
Marketplace ratings: Users can offer useful feedback to plugin contributors and the community by rating their experience with the plugins they have used.
Open to Users
Ultimaker Cloud will be open to users at the same time of the launch of Ultimaker Cura 4.0 on March 19, 2019. In time there will be more functionality added to Ultimaker Cloud to ensure that all users keep benefiting from the next generation 3D printing workflow.
