Bambu Lab has officially launched its first flagship retail location in Shenzhen’s Nanshan District, becoming the first 3D printer manufacturer to establish a dedicated physical store. The 244-square-metre Bambu Lab retail store transforms additive manufacturing from an abstract concept into a hands-on experience for visitors, marking a significant shift in how desktop 3D printing technology reaches consumers. This development positions the company as a consumer electronics brand rather than a specialist equipment supplier.
The store opening represents a milestone in making 3D printing more accessible to the general public, with plans for additional locations including international expansion. Located in the company’s headquarters city, the Shenzhen flagship serves as a pilot project for broader retail ambitions.
The First Bambu Lab Retail Store

At the heart of the Bambu Lab retail store stands a massive CyberBrick diorama, entirely 3D printed on a farm of over 100 H2D printers running continuously for one week. This large-scale installation demonstrates the performance and application range of the company’s systems for complex projects, whilst allowing visitors to interact directly with the display.

The store features a striking “Wall of A1s” installation where multiple printers operate simultaneously, giving visitors an impression of the speed, precision, and volume capabilities of the machines. The complete product lineup is available for hands-on exploration, accompanied by the full spectrum of filament colours displayed for direct material comparison.

A dedicated gallery honours top creators from the MakerWorld community, showcasing designs that push the boundaries of desktop 3D printing. An onsite mini market allows visitors to purchase finished 3D printed objects, whilst the MakerSupply showcase demonstrates the full ecosystem of compatible tools and materials.
Shaking the Consumer Electronics Market

The flagship store reflects Bambu Lab’s strategy to operate in the manner of a consumer electronics firm, drawing comparisons to successful retail experiences created by Apple, LEGO, and DJI. The company combines meticulous attention to hardware quality and product presentation with cost accessibility balanced against performance.
“This is about bringing 3D printing to everyone,” the company stated in announcing the store opening. “Shenzhen, our home base, is the natural place to begin—but it’s just the start. More flagship stores will follow, including international locations.”

The retail expansion comes during a productive year for Bambu Lab, which has launched the H2D all-in-one 3D printer and the H2S, its largest 3D printer to date, whilst securing key partnerships with Polar3D and Presq. The company operates offices in Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Austin, Texas, maintaining a commitment to supporting open ecosystems and sustainable manufacturing practices.
By establishing physical retail presence, Bambu Lab aims to realise ambitions that previous companies in the desktop 3D printing sector envisioned but were unable to achieve, leveraging lessons learned from over a decade of market evolution.
