Key Takeaways

BigRep, a global pioneer in large-format additive manufacturing, is to unveil the improved BigRep ONE.5 at Formnext 2024 in Frankfurt. Building on nearly a decade of success with the famous BigRep ONE, the new ONE.5 integrates the most recent features found in BigRep’s newest printers. These include advanced dual PEX2 extruders, enhanced material compatibility with two print bed options, an easy user interface, and, as the cherry on top, a competitive new pricing point.

The BigRep ONE, known for its powerful performance and durable design, has been a reliable 3D printer for generating enormous, geometrically complicated parts up to 1000 x 1000 x 1000 mm in size. The new ONE.5 builds on this tradition as a dependable workhorse for anyone wishing to expand beyond the constraints of smaller systems and generate full-scale prints.

Features of the BigRep ONE.5

Dual PEX2 extruders

The BigRep ONE.5 increases production by up to 40% and supports a wider range of materials. The powerful dual-drive feeding wheel system incorporates long-lasting wear-resistant diamond nozzles for consistent printing with soft and carbon fibre reinforced materials. The PEX2 extruders feature two modes: single and twin mode, with the latter allowing for simultaneous printing with both extruders, making production more efficient and cost-effective.

Semi-Automated Print Bed

The semi-automatic print bed has been improved with magnetic SWITCHPLATE choices that allow it to handle a larger range of materials. The SWITCHPLATE, which is available in two versions, enables strong adhesion for a larger range of filament types. The printer retains its inbuilt inductive sensor and semi-automatic bed levelling system for easier calibration, ensuring optimal performance and consistent print quality.

Remote Access and User-Friendly Interface

The user interface simplifies operation, and remote features allow you to continue printing no matter where you are. A camera for print monitoring, altering print parameters, and restarting a print job after a power outage are just a few of the capabilities you may use from anywhere.

Secure and spacious Filament Dry Box

The Keep Dry Box protects filaments from moisture and dust, allowing them to be stored in optimal conditions for an extended period. It supports all typical spool sizes, including two spools weighing up to 8 kg. An out-of-filament sensor pauses printing, enabling for simple spool change, which is especially beneficial for larger prints.

The new BigRep ONE.5 builds on the decade-old ONE, providing improved automation, dependability, and performance in the original strong frame at a competitive price.
