Creallo, an on-demand custom-parts manufacturing service, launched Creallo Atlas, a Free 3D Viewer with Instant Manufacturing Cost Estimates. The viewer is built for Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems.
Creallo Atlas supports 13 3D file formats, including STL, STEP and IGES, without requiring a CAD license. Users can measure dimensions, create cross-sections, inspect geometry and detect model errors.
Creallo Atlas - A Free 3D Viewer

3D design files are often shared beyond the design team, reaching engineering, sales, procurement, and production teams. Commercial CAD software is not practical for every team, given licensing costs and the learning curve. Many free 3D viewers are browser-based and require users to upload files to external servers - a potential concern for companies with strict data-security policies.
Creallo Atlas was built to close this gap and shorten the path from digital design to physical part. Viewing and mesh repair are processed locally on the user’s machine. Design files are uploaded only when users create a share link. The application runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, and Windows users can also install it from the Microsoft Store.
Key features:
- Measurement and cross-sections: Measure distances, diameters, wall thicknesses, and clearances, and inspect internal geometry.
- Mesh repair: Automatically detect and fix repairable mesh errors.
- Instant cost estimates: Analyse a 3D model and return estimated manufacturing costs for 3D printing, CNC machining, urethane casting, and other processes.
- Model sharing: Generate a link that lets colleagues or customers view a model without CAD software. The file must be uploaded to create a share link.
- File privacy: Viewing and mesh repair are processed locally on the user’s machine.
- Cross-platform support: Available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
From viewing a model to estimating manufacturing costs

Through its manufacturing operations, Creallo has developed and refined AI-based design analysis and cost prediction technology. This technology has helped shorten manufacturing lead times, which can range from several days to several weeks in conventional manufacturing workflows, to under 24 hours.
Creallo Atlas is the first step in extending this technology beyond Creallo’s own manufacturing service and into broader engineering and manufacturing workflows. It analyzes a model’s geometry and characteristics to estimate manufacturing costs.
The estimates are intended to help users assess manufacturability and potential costs early in product development. When they are ready to produce a part, users can place an order through Creallo. The company plans to continue advancing its design analysis and cost prediction technology in response to the needs of engineers and manufacturers, while expanding Atlas features to support product development and production. Its goal is to help engineering teams, manufacturers and production partners evaluate manufacturability directly from 3D design files and move from design to production faster.
“Our goal at Creallo is to make the journey from a digital design to a physical part as fast as possible. Creallo Atlas is the first step toward that vision. We’ll continue to expand its capabilities for the people who work with 3D design files every day and the teams responsible for manufacturing those parts.” - Heejoong Kim, CEO of Creallo.
Creallo Atlas is available on its official website and on the Microsoft Store. All currently available features are free to use.
