Nike has introduced the Air Max 95000, a revolutionary 3D-printed silhouette that pays homage to the iconic Air Max 95 whilst powering a new era of sneaker innovation. The 3D-printed Air Max 95000, unveiled during ComplexCon in Las Vegas, represents the first shoe created using Nike’s Project Nectar and marks the brand’s second footwear collaboration with Zellerfeld as part of a multi-year exploration into additive manufacturing possibilities. The silhouette will be available for purchase on 28th November through SNKRS and zellerfeld.com in a Black/Volt colourway.
The Air Max 95000 showcases advanced 3D printing capabilities through Project Nectar, a specially formulated printing process that delivers durability and traction on the outsole alongside bold embellishments on the upper. This technology unlocks new possibilities for creative expression whilst maintaining the performance standards expected from Nike footwear. The design features a “Big Bubble” Max Air unit in the heel and a smaller Max Air unit in the forefoot, providing consistent cushioning and responsive feel underfoot.
Unveiling of 3D-Printed Air Max 95000

The silhouette builds upon the foundation established by the Air Max 1000, the first-of-its-kind shoe developed with Zellerfeld using the company’s multicolour-ready Gen3 printers. By stacking the same 3D-printed chassis with dual Max Air units, Nike has created a design that would be impossible to manufacture using traditional footwear production methods. The sculptural, contoured design represents the initial phase of a multi-year partnership focused on exploring unlimited possibilities in additive manufacturing footwear.
Brittany Shelton, Vice President of North America Brand Management at Nike, explained the significance of this development: “Nike Air has always been about pushing boundaries and inspiring the next generation. The Air Max 95000 brings that inspiration to life through innovation that delivers creativity and opportunities for self-expression.”
The technology enables Nike to design faster, test concepts instantly, and experiment without traditional manufacturing constraints. This approach facilitates the creation of entirely new silhouettes whilst accelerating the development timeline from concept to production-ready footwear.
Strategic Partnership with Zellerfeld

The collaboration between Nike and Zellerfeld represents a strategic alignment between leading footwear design expertise and advanced additive manufacturing technology. Zellerfeld’s printing platform provides Nike with tools to explore computational design possibilities that transcend conventional footwear construction limitations.
“Zellerfeld was founded to reimagine how footwear is created and experienced. What began as a profound idea to give creators more freedom has grown into something much bigger. Today, the brand we all grew up admiring is using our platform to design faster, test ideas instantly, experiment without limits and bring entirely new silhouettes to life. Nike has always defined the future of footwear, and Zellerfeld’s technology is helping unlock new possibilities in design.”
– Cornelius Schmitt, CEO of Zellerfeld
The Air Max 95000 serves as both an homage to the Air Max 95—introduced 30 years ago as a groundbreaking Air innovation—and a glimpse into the future of Nike Air technology. The fluid, expressive Air platform spans across Nike’s entire brand portfolio, from performance apparel and footwear to contemporary streetwear silhouettes.
ComplexCon Debut

Nike presented the Air Max 95000 for the first time at ComplexCon inside Nike’s Mad Stadium, a pop-up destination designed to provide attendees with exclusive insights into future intersections of innovation, sport, and sneaker design. The installation offered immersive experiences demonstrating how additive manufacturing technologies are reshaping footwear possibilities.
The 3D-printed Air Max 95000 reflects Nike’s position at the forefront of sneaker culture, connecting the brand’s four-decade history of Air innovations with future possibilities in computational design and printable footwear. This approach merges creative exploration with personalization capabilities, enabling both distinctive aesthetics and athletic performance within a single platform.
“We never would have been able to create this silhouette using traditional methods, and this sculptural, contoured design and futuristic application of Air is only the beginning of a multi-year journey with Zellerfeld and what we see as unlimited possibility in a new era of 3D-printed footwear.”
– Brittany Shelton, Vice President of North America Brand Management at Nike
The Black/Volt colourway launching on 28th November represents the initial release from this ongoing partnership, with future applications expected to expand the range of designs, colours, and customisation options available through 3D printing technology.
