Peopoly, the Hong Kong-based 3D printer manufacturer known for its linear motor-driven Magneto X, has launched the Peopoly Giga 800, a large-format Fused Granular Fabrication (FGF) 3D printer with an 800 × 800 × 800 mm build volume and a starting price of US $15,000 (approximately ₹14,42,000). The machine feeds raw industrial pellets through a custom dual-zone heating screw extruder, achieving a maximum throughput of 3 kg of polymer per hour, a specification the company says is sufficient to consolidate multi-day, multi-part assemblies into single overnight print jobs.
The Peopoly Giga 800 enters a segment historically gated by six-figure price tags and complex pneumatic feeding infrastructure. By contrast, Peopoly’s integrated hopper eliminates the need for compressed air, and the company claims pellet feedstock reduces material costs by up to 90% compared with standard FDM filament. The pellet extrusion approach bypasses filament manufacturing entirely, drawing on commodity granulates already widely used across injection moulding and other plastics industries.
Peopoly Giga 800 Motion System

To manage the inertia inherent in high-mass, high-speed gantry movement at this scale, the Giga 800 uses a closed-loop servo CoreXY motion system rather than conventional stepper motors. Continuous positional feedback from the servo drives is designed to eliminate layer shifts during extended production runs, supporting what Peopoly describes as uninterrupted 24/7 operation.
Surface quality has been a persistent challenge for pellet 3D printers, which are prone to oozing and stringing at the nozzle. The Giga 800 addresses this by pairing active mechanical retraction with Klipper’s Pressure Advance algorithm. Pre-configured material profiles, developed in partnership with Siraya Tech’s materials science team, ship with the machine to reduce setup time for new users.

The Giga 800 runs on open-source Klipper firmware paired with OrcaSlicer, a combination that provides a fully auditable software stack. Critically for customers in the defence, aerospace, and advanced R&D sectors, the printer is designed to operate entirely offline. Peopoly describes this air-gap capability as a response to the security requirements of organisations that cannot permit proprietary design data to leave a facility.
