Tvasta Manufacturing Solutions, a pioneering Startup specialising in Construction 3D Printing, has established Kerala’s first Concrete 3D Printing Research Lab in collaboration with Saintgits College of Engineering in Kottayam. The new facility’s goal is to boost construction industry research and innovation by utilising advanced 3D printing technologies.
Tvasta representatives, faculty, staff, and Saintgits College of Engineering students all attended the inauguration ceremony. This cutting-edge lab will serve as a research and development hub, with a focus on innovative concrete 3D printing methodologies. Tvasta, founded in 2016 by IIT Madras alumni, has been at the forefront of using automation and robotics to revolutionise construction through faster, cheaper, and more sustainable methods.
First Concrete 3D Printing Research Lab

Addressing the audience at the inauguration, Mr. Adithya VS, Chief Executive Officer of Tvasta Manufacturing Solutions, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration: “We are thrilled to partner with Saintgits College of Engineering to launch Kerala’s first Concrete 3D Printer Lab dedicated to research and development. This lab will be instrumental in pushing the boundaries of construction technology and promoting sustainable and rapid construction practices in India.”
The lab will use Tvasta’s in-house developed ‘NIRMAAN RD11’ 3D Printer, which can print volumes of up to one cubic metre. This advanced equipment will enable students, researchers, and industry professionals to investigate new 3D printing methodologies and conduct material research.
“We are immensely proud to inaugurate this advanced lab, which aligns perfectly with our vision of fostering innovation and providing our students with the latest technological tools to excel in the field of engineering. This collaboration with Tvasta is a significant milestone for us.”
– Shri. Thomas T. John, Director of Saintgits Group of Institutions
Several dignitaries and stakeholders from Saintgits College of Engineering attended the event, including Dr. Sudha T, Principal; Dr. M D Mathew, Dean of Research; Dr. Nivin Philip, Professor and Head of the Research Centre; Dr. Reebu Zachariah Koshy, Associate Director; Dr. Naveen Punnoose, Chief Digital Officer; Dr. Soosan George T, Dean of Academics; and Dr. Susan Rose, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering.
