Wematter, a Swedish 3D printer manufacturer, has signed a reseller agreement with OKM3D, a German distributor, to establish a sales and service network for the Gravity SLS 3D printer in Germany. The collaboration is a step toward Wematter’s internationalisation, providing access to the Gravity 2022 SLS 3D printing ecosystem to the European market.

The new collaboration means that the Gravity SLS 3D printer will be properly introduced to Germany and other major European markets. Automotive companies will find not only a high-quality 3D printer, but also a serious business partner willing and able to discuss the 3D printing of new materials.

Orthosis and orthopaedic companies will find a machine that meets all of their requirements, from decentralised setup to software that is so simple to use that anyone in their organisation will be up and running after only an hour of training.

The Gravity SLS 3D printer, which uses laser sintering 3D printing technology developed by Wematter. This professional 3D printer has a build volume of 300 x 300 x 300 mm and is office-friendly in size (benchtop SLS). It works with Wematter’s proprietary black PA11 (Nylon). More materials are being developed by the company.

Gravity SLS 3D Printer Features

  • Integrated powder recycling: Using a pneumatic system, material is recycled directly within the machine.
  • Easy material handling: Material handling is simplified because the powder is stored in tubes that latch onto the printer to be emptied (versus manually pouring the powder into the build area).
  • Automatic build volume optimization: Using various stacking algorithms, parts are efficiently packed as close together as possible.

Robert Kniola CEO & Co-Founder at Wematter said, “OKM3D is a very well respected reseller, and we are happy that they will represent Wematter and introduce the Gravity ecosystem to some of the biggest markets in Europe”, says

“We are really delighted to work with Wematter and to be able to offer their SLS solution to our German customers. It’s a great technology and Wematter offers an innovative approach to the ecosystem. There is a wide range of technical materials and the hardware part is very easy to install for such an industrial solution.”
