XJet Ltd., a provider of industry-leading 3D printing solutions, announced that its Founder and CEO – Hanan Gothait, is stepping down as CEO and taking on the role of President. Yair Alcobi will take over as CEO. The move is part of the company’s ambitious growth plans.

Now that its ceramic technology is well established and the metal systems are now commercially available, XJet anticipates a significant increase in business over the next few years. XJet is the only company in the world that offers metal and ceramic 3D printing solutions using direct material jetting, providing users with exceptional benefits in material density and part quality.

Yair Alcobi will lead the company through this challenging period with the help of Avi Cohen, who joined XJet as Executive Chairman of the Board last year. Another new hire is Orit Tesler Levy, who will serve as CFO and help to strengthen the management team.

Alcobi has a track record of increasing revenues and profits in previous roles as President of KLA’s PCB Division and President of Orbotech East Asia Subsidiary. Alcobi significantly increased division revenue while doubling operating profit.

XJet 3D Printing Solutions

XJet has developed two 3D printing solutions using direct material jetting. Its ceramic 3D printer is well established in the industry while it only recently commercialised its metal 3D printer. The Carmel 1400C and 1400M represent the ceramic and metal systems.

The XJet Carmel 1400C is the industry’s most advanced ceramic AM system for applications that demand high productivity, superior quality, and geometric complexity. The Carmel 1400C, which is already installed and operational at customer sites, enables manufacturers to produce parts of geometric design that were previously unattainable.

The XJet Carmel 1400M is the industry’s best metal AM system for applications that require unrivaled quality, accuracy, and repeatability while also being highly productive. The system makes it simple and safe to produce high-density metal parts for a wide range of applications and industries.

“It has been a comprehensive process to search for a new CEO for XJet. We interviewed and considered many candidates before making our decision. Yair’s record in scaling businesses is enviable and exactly the right fit for taking XJet to the next level,” says Cohen. “We have exciting times ahead and I am sure that Yair has what it takes to make XJet successful. I look forward to working closely with Yair.”

Cohen also added, “I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Hanan for the many years of leadership he’s dedicated to XJet, bringing it to this point. His vision for the technology has been palpable from day one, building an exceptional team of experts and getting the company to its current position took a great deal of hard work. Over the past year, I have worked very closely with Hanan and I know that as President he will continue to make a significant contribution and I look forward to continuing our cooperation.”

Alcobi asserts, “As someone who has worked closely with many top-tier, global manufacturers, I fully understand the potential of additive manufacturing, and especially in materials like metal and ceramic. XJet technology is remarkable and I’m extremely motivated to expand the business and ensure XJet becomes a clear leader in its market.”

“I am very excited about Yair’s joining and looking forward to working closely with him. As a veteran of the industry, I am a big believer in XJet, its team, the technology and products. As a result, I’m delighted to continue with the company in the position of President and I look forward to assisting Yair in leading XJet to success.”

– Hanan Gothait, exiting Founder and CEO of XJet

Alcobi will be assisted by Tesler Levy, who joins XJet as CFO after working at Applied Materials in Israel and Silicon Systems Segment in California, USA. Tesler Levy also has industry experience, having previously served as Stratasys‘ VP Finance FP&A Business Partnering.
