Meltio, a disruptive laser metal deposition technology manufacturer, announced that it has partnered with HDC to boost its growth in the South Korean AM market. HDC will be Meltio’s official sales partner and will play a key role in distribution and support of the Meltio metal 3D printing solutions in the region.

Meltio provides cutting-edge metal 3D printing solutions that enable industrial applications through a process based on welding wire, the market’s safest, cleanest, and most affordable metal feedstock.

South Korean AM Market

South Korea was one of the early adopters of 3D printing, which was then primarily used for rapid prototyping. However, 3D printing applications in South Korea have recently expanded beyond rapid prototyping and are now being used for direct manufacturing of end-use products, particularly in the healthcare and dental industries.

According to a research report, the South Korean AM market is expected to reach USD 1.7 billion by 2028, up from around USD 500 million currently.

With the partnership, HDC will concentrate on creating a supportive ecosystem for Meltio’s technology in South Korean territory, as well as partnering and driving business opportunities.

“I believe Meltio will be a total game changer in the metal AM market in South Korea and change the way of manufacturing. The technology in how Meltio produces metal parts is disruptive, fast, cheap, safe, and easy to use. Our HDC team is very happy and proud to announce that we have become Meltio’s official sales partner to boost growth in South Korean Metal Additive Manufacturing Market.”

– Brian Seo, the CEO of HDC

Antonio Antonaya, Sales Manager for APAC at Meltio says: “We are thrilled to be working with companies like HDC as their expertise as well as customer-centric approach are exactly what we are looking for when incorporating partners in the Meltio partner ecosystem. Together, we will be able to cater to the ever-growing needs of the South Korean market for, and ease the adoption of metal additive manufacturing.”
