Meltio announces new Tri-lateral partnership to develop Hybrid CNC solutions

Meltio, a disruptive wire-laser metal deposition additive manufacturing technology, has announced a new tri-lateral partnership with USAF veteran-owned Jupiter Machine Tool (JMT), an industry leader in repairing and building CNC machine tools and models across North America, and UnionMT (UMT), a Taiwan-based machine tool builder.

To meet the rapidly growing demand, the three companies signed an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) manufacturing agreement, forming a global partnership dedicated to developing and selling Hybrid CNC Machines based on Meltio’s wire-laser metal patented Directed Energy Deposition (DED) technology.

Jupiter Machine Tool Inc., headquartered in Galesburg (USA), is a world-class total solutions provider to the advanced manufacturing industry. Jupiter offers engineering support, process improvement, quality control, service support, and production equipment to leading manufacturers in the automotive, aerospace, defence, medical, agricultural, transportation, 3C, and mining industries, among others.

JMT provides a diverse portfolio of CNC machines, including 5-axis machining, vertical and horizontal machining, turning and milling, bridge and gantry, and machining accessories. This new collaboration with Meltio enables Jupiter Machine Tools to incorporate the Meltio Engine CNC Integration into its portfolio, allowing for the installation of a metal additive manufacturing solution in a variety of industries.

Meltio is at the forefront of metal additive manufacturing, developing high-performance, low-cost solutions using wire-laser metal 3D printing technology. The Meltio Engine CNC Integration can manufacture complex metal parts from wire feedstock. The ability to manufacture parts from wire allows for very clean operation and material handling while also ensuring 100% material efficiency.
