AMPOWER, a Hamburg-based Additive Manufacturing consultancy, and Nikon Corporation (Nikon), a pioneer in optical technology markets, have announced an Additive Manufacturing Training partnership. This strategic collaboration aims to provide engineers with an unparalleled opportunity to improve their proficiency in Nikon Additive Manufacturing (AM) solutions.

AM has emerged as a transformative force in modern manufacturing, with ramifications felt across industries worldwide. Recognising the enormous potential of this technology, AMPOWER and Nikon are collaborating to provide engineers with a comprehensive training programme that will provide them with a broad and deep understanding of Nikon’s cutting-edge AM solutions.

The Lasermeister 100A Series, a cutting-edge Directed Energy Deposition system, is the focus of the first online learning programme. The course is designed specifically for potential customers and professionals who want to learn more about Nikon’s Lasermeister technology. The Online Learning programme is available Here.

Hiroyuki Nagasaka, Department Manager of the Development Department in the Advanced Manufacturing Business Unit of Nikon added, “The newly designed training program which has been developed by AMPOWER, will provide engineers with the necessary knowledge, skills, and insights they need to leverage Nikon’s AM technologies effectively.”

Nikon, with a long history of innovation and excellence, is at the forefront of developing advanced AM solutions for a variety of industries. Nikon has been using the AMPOWER Academy’s various courses to train their employees in the most critical AM skills. This collaboration is a strategic step towards developing engineering expertise, allowing them to capitalise on Nikon’s cutting-edge AM offerings.

E-Learning program

The first E-Learning programme will include a comprehensive curriculum covering all aspects of Nikon’s Lasermeister 100A Series technology. Engineers who participate in the programme will learn about the complexities of AM technology, materials, design considerations, process optimisation, and applications from various industries. AMPOWER’s seasoned experts designed the training, ensuring that engineers receive hands-on experience and personalised guidance. Further E-Learning modules are planned for development in 2024.
