EOS announced that BeamIT, the AM company with the largest fleet of machines in Europe has installed its fourth EOS M 400-4, a quad laser system for the industrial production of high-quality metal parts. The system will be used to manufacture applications for the oil and gas industry.

The EOS M400 series is clearly designed for industrial applications, offering a large building volume of 400 x 400 x 400 mm. While the EOS M 400 runs with a single 1000W laser, the EOS M 400-4 incorporates four 400W laser.

EOS M 400-4 multiplies the capacity of the EOS M 290, while ensuring proven DMLS (Direct Metal Laser Sintering) quality. EOS M 290 processes can be transferred to the EOS M 400-4 while retaining equivalent part properties.

Speaking about the addition of the EOS M 400-4 system, Mauro Antolotti, Chairman of BeamIT said, “Industrial 3D printing has proven to be a real revolution for countless industrial sectors and we see even more viable potential. So we are delighted to scale our 3D printing production capabilities by strengthening our collaboration with EOS as a reliable and strong partner.”

Offering details about the partnership with BeamIT, Markus Glasser, Senior Vice President Region Export at EOS said, “We are very proud to be the partner of choice for BeamIT. Their success with 3D printing represents an important example for companies of any size that want to operate in Industry 4.0 and are already getting ready to change their business thanks to the advantages offered by additive manufacturing.”

Since more than two years BeamIT is leveraging EOS technology. In 2017, BeamIT was the first company in Italy to use the EOS M 400, the “sister system” of the EOS M 400-4.
