EOS, a leading provider of responsible manufacturing solutions through industrial 3D printing technology, announced the launch of its new Contract Manufacturing Network today. The network connects end users with established AM production partners, allowing them to create high-quality parts quickly and reliably. The network will begin with seven partners in EMEA: FKM, Erpro, Volum-E, Pankl, Materialise, Oerlikon, Hasenauer & Hesser. It will be expanded globally in the coming months, with more partners joining.
The new Contract Manufacturing Network expands on EOS’ existing partner network offerings. Customers seeking a trusted additive manufacturing partner to produce their parts, rather than manufacturing in-house, can reach out to the network for assistance ranging from rapid prototyping to small series volumes of 1,000 parts.
“We want our customers to succeed. Small series customers will receive the same EOS quality and industry expertise as our larger customers when they outsource their AM production to a Contract Manufacturing Network partner. Our network partners are also able to act as pilot users for new technology developments at EOS, giving us valuable input and together developing the innovations that will shape the future of AM.”
– Markus Glasser, Senior Vice President EMEA at EOS
Criteria for Contract Manufacturing Network for Additive Manufacturing
Companies that want to become partners go through a thorough and dedicated evaluation process in which they must meet certain criteria, such as serving customers across EMEA. Experienced partners must have a minimum of five EOS systems installed from the most recent generation of machines, which are maintained and inspected on a regular basis. EOS provides all of the tools required for remote service as part of a preventive maintenance programme, allowing EOS production partners to provide the highest levels of performance and system availability.
Furthermore, Contract Manufacturer Network partners must process EOS or EOS ecosystem powder with their systems in order to keep the network’s clearly defined quality promise.
To ensure high quality standards, the partner must have a proven quality management system that is ISO 9001 compliant, as well as meet defined KPIs in areas such as customer satisfaction, scrap rates, and on-time delivery.
EOS Contract Manufacturing Network partners will be added to the MakerVerse partner hub, a MakerVerse branded platform. This allows network partners to reach out to more potential end-customers while making the ordering process as simple as possible. The collaboration of the EOS Contract Manufacturing Network with MakerVerse as its fulfilment partner allows customers to have access to all of the EOS Contract Manufacturing Network’s production capacities at their fingertips, while questions, payment, purchase orders, and invoicing are all handled.
