Formnext, the world’s premier 3D printing exhibition, has received the most registrations to date for its 2023 edition. More than 550 companies had registered to attend the world’s leading trade show for AM technologies and next-generation manufacturing by the end of February, with 62% of them coming from outside Germany.

To meet the community’s enormous demand, Formnext is developing a variety of specialized offerings for the November Show and is rapidly becoming a 365-day Additive Manufacturing hub.

“The entire industry is developing at a breathtaking pace and offers enormous growth opportunities, both for established companies as well as for start-ups and SMEs that are discovering additive manufacturing for themselves. The number of suppliers using Formnext to successfully establish and expand their offerings around additive manufacturing and along the process chain is growing all the time.”

– Sascha F. Wenzler, Vice President Formnext at event organizer Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH

Formnext is much more than just a trade show. Aside from the show floor, the brand provides a wide range of services. Formnext provides, in addition to industry news, the following services:

  • A quarterly Formnext Magazine features in-depth market reports and exciting interviews with AM experts.
  • This is the portal where interested professionals can find out about everything going on in the industry, supplemented by the Formnext Newsroom with articles from selected trade media.
  • Formnext.TV provides live coverage of the trade show as well as inspiring and entertaining content throughout the year.
  • The AM Field Guide, a compact reference book for a wide range of additive technologies, provides a helpful introduction and outlines the essential features of individual AM processes.
  • Furthermore, the highly successful Discover3Dprinting seminars are an excellent opportunity for anyone thinking about adding industrial 3D printing to their production portfolio.

Wenzler explains, “The AM industry is innovative, and developments are moving so fast that ongoing discussion is vital. By incorporating additive technologies into the design and construction of components and products, we can identify more and more profitable additive manufacturing applications. A lively and active industry dialog accelerates this process.”

Improved conference design

Simultaneously, Formnext has improved the organization of its conferencing program. This year’s conference program will be held in three stages in the exhibition halls for the first time. The various focus areas cover key AM trends and applications, as well as the technologies and innovations of exhibitors, to provide a convenient and efficient way for visitors to find the product or service they are looking for. This will allow Formnext to promote important dialogue between technology providers and users while also making the content publicly available to all stakeholders in the halls.

The call for speakers for the conference program is expected to begin in early April.
