Intech Additive Solutions, India’s leading additive manufacturing OEM, has partnered with Pune-based 3D Engineering Automation to sell metal 3D printers in India and associated software solutions. The association aims to extend the reach of 3D printing solutions offered by Intech Additive across India in the automotive, academic, tooling and other markets.

3D Engineering, headquartered in Pune, is engaged in the business of providing engineering product solutions with expertise in CAD/CAM/CAE/PLM/Digital Manufacturing solutions.

Intech has indigenously developed a range of metal 3D printers in India. The iFusion series includes the SF (small format) for R&D labs, universities, institutions, and academies, as well as the LF (large format) for industrial use in traditional sectors.

The recently launched iFusion series of Metal 3D Printers – the iFusion SF1 and the iFusion LF – designed and built at Intech Additive Solutions’ facility in Bangalore, is a significant milestone in Intech’s and Metal Additive Manufacturing in India’s innovation journey.

The iFusion SF1 is a smaller format machine designed for research and development laboratories, universities, institutions, and academies. The iFusion LF is a large format multi laser machine with a plethora of features designed for industrial metal 3D printing.

Metal 3D printers from Intech are combined with proprietary software that expands their capabilities. The iFusion Metal 3D Printers from Intech – iFusion SF1, iFusion MF, and iFusion LF – are high-precision Metal 3D Printing systems that can print with a variety of metal alloy powders.

Ashwin Deshpande, Country Head – India, Intech Additive Solutions spoke on the new reseller agreement, “We are pleased to welcome 3D Engineering to the family of Intech Additive – Intech is India’s first OEM to indigenously develop, manufacture, and sell the ‘iFusion’ series of Metal 3D Printers & software’s for data preparation, parameter optimisation & new alloy development. 3D Engineering has an enviable track record of over a decade in implementing Metal Additive Manufacturing applications for Prototyping, Tooling & Production parts for the Aerospace, Defence, Medical, General Engineering & Academia. We believe this association will benefit the customers in India as they can leverage our collective experience in Metal AM for faster adoption of AM across their design, tooling & manufacturing functions.”

According to Ajay Deshkar, CEO, 3D Engineering, “Additive Manufacturing is becoming a mainstream manufacturing technology now. By the passing day, this technology finds greater acceptance with industries, government & defence establishments, service providers, and academics. 3D Engineering ventured into the promotion of Metal Additive Manufacturing over a decade ago. Our recent association with Intech Additive Solutions opens up further opportunities for our clients to own a machine that is ‘Made in India’. Not only would that make the machine affordable, but with Intech’s unique AMOptoMet software, customers can quickly develop parameters for newer alloys at a click of a button, thus bringing more parts under the ambit of AM. This saves up months of time & costly iterations that is otherwise prevalent in the traditional way of Additive Manufacturing, without the use of AMOptoMet. We at 3D Engineering are excited about our association with INTECH and are looking for a mutually beneficial, long-term association.”

With the help of 3D Engineering Automation, Intech hopes to broaden its reach and become a dependable source of AM products for both national and global audiences.
