Intech Additive Solutions, a pioneer in the Indian Additive Manufacturing space, will showcase its second-generation iFusion150 Metal 3D Printer at IMTEX 2023, which will take place from the 19th to the 25th of January. The iFusion 150 is a small format metal 3D printer that serves as an entry point into the company’s metal 3D printing solutions.
The printer has applications in aviation, automotive, medical and dental, space, tooling, defence, and other industries.
iFusion150 Metal 3D Printer at IMTEX 2023
The iFusion150 has a 500-watt laser that can be upgraded to a 700W or 1000W laser, as well as the greatest build capacity in its sector at 150mm x 180mm. The second-generation Metal 3D Printer has increased operating safety, decreased the need for human involvement, and included features such as compact design, dual lock safety, and butterfly valves with automatic control for filter changes without halting the run.
The iFusion150 can print powders of aluminium, titanium, copper, inconel, maraging steel, stainless steel, and other metal alloys.
Additionally, the in-house software solution, AMOptoMet, gives the optimum print parameters for the part like the print speed, part density, or surface polish, plus developing parameters for new materials on the fly to “Get it right the first time”.
“iFusion150 is our most successful machine as its supplied across different industries in various verticals, such as Education, R&D, Aerospace, Automotive, Defence, Medical & Dental, Oil & Gas and Tool & Die. IMTEX is being held after a gap of two years due to COVID, and everyone is eager to see the latest offerings from the world of Manufacturing. We are exhibiting to showcase our capabilities in Additive Manufacturing to the India Manufacturing Community.”
– Sridhar Balaram, Founder & CEO of Intech Additive Solutions
The iFusion150 is accompanied by the comprehensive AMBuilder Build Preparation Software, which includes a well-guided process. It enables a streamlined experience throughout the build preparation process. Another notable innovation is the inclusion of the AMOptoMet Parameter Optimization Software, which is designed for calculating and optimising the process parameters of a particular alloy for the Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) technology.
