M&H CNC GmbH, a manufacturing service provider, strengthens its long-standing partnership with SLM Solutions Group by purchasing two new SLM280 2.0 metal 3D printers. M&H CNC already has two SLM systems, but these new machines will allow the company to expand its product offerings and capacity in order to meet the growing demand from its domestic and international customers.

The company aims to meet the growing demand from the aerospace and automotive industries for serial production through additive manufacturing.

SLM280 2.0

To speed up the printing process of many metal additive powders, the SLM280 2.0 metal 3D printer has provision to be equipped with up to two 700W fibre lasers. The SLM®280 2.0 is ideal for prototyping and medium-to-high-volume metal additive manufacturing part production with high accuracy and superior surface quality making it ideal for serial production.

M&H leverages its CNC experience and advanced knowledge of AM technology to become a comprehensive solutions provider within Austria, Europe, and beyond, specialising in AM parts for the motorsports, Formula 1 racing, and aerospace industries. The company is a well-known innovation partner for its industrial customers, providing services ranging from prototyping to series production of finished machined components.

“Our medium-term goal is to position ourselves as an innovative 3D printing supplier in Central Europe. With the targeted expansion of our machine park, we can further expand our competence. With the two new SLM Solutions machines, we will be able, in particular, to produce metal parts and prototypes in medium to high volumes even more effectively and precisely. We can serve more materials within the shortest possible time thanks to the new machines. The recent very high demand for our 3D printing services has made the purchase inevitable.”

– Patrick Herzig, CEO of M&H

Bart Leferink, VP of Sales EMEA for SLM Solutions, comments on the competitive advantages of the SLMÒ280 2.0 Twin, “Being in the market for more than five years, the SLM280 2.0 has proven a reliable partner for service bureaus globally thanks to its outstanding productivity and reliability as well as the possibility to perform a material change in less than two hours. Thanks to its 700W laser power, it can process almost any material in the market. We are excited to see what new applications M&H will print on those workhorse machines.”

One SLM®280 and one SLM®500 are already in place at M&H’s cutting-edge printing facility in Ilz, Austria. The additional machines, combined with the international Kilger Group’s recent single-digit million investment, position M&H as the leading one-stop-shop for innovative product printing and development in the DACH region and beyond.

About M&H: M&H CNC GmbH specializes in the dimensionally accurate production of prototypes, individual parts, and small series. Their offer ranges from 5-axis simultaneous machining to complete production and 3D printing in metal.
