Nexa3D, the leader in ultrafast polymer 3D printing, is expanding its digital dentistry portfolio with the introduction of two new 3D printing dental resins and NexaX dental workflow at this week’s Lab Day 2023 in Chicago, Illinois. The two new resins join a portfolio of eight validated dental resins, bringing the total to ten, breaking down dental 3D printing productivity barriers by increasing production throughput by up to 50%.
The NexaX Dental Workflow and the new dental resins will be on display at this event.
Nexa3D 3D Printing Dental Resins
xDENT201 is the fastest printing modelling resin designed for ultrafast orthodontic model production, producing up to ten flat models in just 20 minutes. xDENT201 is the clear choice for printing higher volume models for aligner manufacturing or orthodontic modelling needs, with an excellent accuracy yield of over 93% at 100 micron deviation and great dimensional stability. This matte grey resin also provides excellent visibility and fine feature details at an affordable price, making it an excellent choice for scaled additive dental model production.
xDENT341 is a high-resolution material that is ideal for 3D printing removable die models with high accuracy and dimensional stability. With 93% dimensional accuracy at 50 micron deviation, the material outperforms the standard dental industry accuracy rate of 65%. For removable die models, proper fit is critical, and the xDENT341 exhibits precise margins and contacts, delivering highly accurate custom prosthodontic treatments such as crowns, bridges, and other implants at incredible speed.
Both resins push the boundaries of dental 3D printing by cutting production time by up to 38% and dramatically increasing throughput on both the XiP desktop 3D printer and the NXD 200Pro platform.
“We think dental 3D printing applications warrant – and quite frankly deserve – a higher level of throughput and more favorable production economics. This is exactly why our material development team, along with our material partners, continue to push the limits of what is possible when it comes to both print speed and dimensional accuracy of 3D printed models. We couldn’t be more excited to bring these two new dental resins to market because we believe they will have a dramatic impact on the productivity of dental labs as well as deliver better patient outcomes.”– Avi Reichental, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Nexa3D
NexaX Dental Workflow
NexaX Dental Workflow is a new software module from Nexa3D aimed at increasing productivity in dental laboratories, beginning with orthodontic and removable die applications. Users can spend less time prepping and more time printing with the new dental workflow. File import, orientation, and toolset selection for file repair, plane cutting, and base extrusion are among the new features. Furthermore, the NexaX Dental Workflow optimises model nesting across multiple builds, allowing the creation of an entire day’s worth of print jobs via an intuitive and user-friendly platform.
