PostProcess, the pioneer in intelligent and automated post-processing solutions for 3D printed parts, and CAD BLU, a leader in 3D printing solution sales and service, have announced a distribution partnership to provide customers in the North American jewellery sector with a fully automated and sustainable wax support removal solution.
This collaboration makes it easier for customers to obtain a complete wax 3D printing solution, enabling end-to-end digitization of the workflow from part design to 3D printing to post-processing.
Automated Post-Processing Solutions
CAD BLU has been a reliable provider of digital 3D printing solutions for jewellery design and manufacturing for over 25 years. For its customers, the company is now expanding its offerings to include advanced post-processing solutions. The PostProcess® DEMI 430TM from CAD BLU is a fully automated solution that uses proprietary software, hardware, and chemistry to effectively remove wax support structures from 3D printed parts.
PostProcess released a new detergent formulation, PLM-601-SUB, in 2022 as part of the comprehensive solution to address both time and safety concerns for support removal for 3D printed wax parts. This solution simplifies the additive manufacturing process by removing the need for manual, labor-intensive support removal, removing the traditional post-processing bottleneck and saving hours of processing time per batch.
PostProcess’ solution enables 3D printing and finishing of more complex part geometries with improved consistency and less breakage. This is especially true for small jewellery parts with intricate details and delicate walls. The company’s proprietary solutions optimise for wax support removal by utilising software controls of multiple energy sources.
