SHINING 3D, a leading global provider of technologies for 3D digitization and 3D inspection, introduces the FreeScan Combo to its FreeScan UE series of Metrology 3D scanners.
It is a multifunctional handheld 3D scanner with hybrid light source: blue laser and infrared VCSEL.
Features of the FreeScan Combo
FreeScan Combo adopts metrology-grade accuracy, fine scanning and high precision from the FreeScan series, while providing an even lighter and more compact design. It features 26 + 7 + 1 blue laser lines and an infrared scanning mode.
Considering speed, versatility and accuracy, this high-performance 3D metrology solution can meet the needs of different scanning scenarios such as metrology-grade inspection, reverse engineering and further applications.
The FreeScan Combo can scan at a rate of 1,860,000 points per second using laser scan mode and 2,250,000 points per second using infrared mode. The FreeScan Combo has a high accuracy of 0.02 mm according to VDI-VDE 2634-3 while capturing a large amount of data per second.
This metrology-grade scanner is ergonomic and small in size. With dimensions of 193 x 63 x 53 mm and a weight of 620 gms, the FreeScan Combo is a compact and versatile scanner.
The different scanning modes include:
- 26 laser lines designed for simple and large-scale laser scanning.
- Seven parallel laser lines are used to scan fine details.
- From narrow areas such as holes, a single laser line can obtain 3D data.
- Infrared mode can scan without the use of markers.
Intuitive and free scanning software
FreeScan Combo offers a simple workflow, as well as powerful and user-friendly software. The software integrates connections to commonly used 3D inspection and design software, making it easier to import scan data.
FreeScan Combo is a versatile scanner that can be used for metrology-level precision inspection, reverse design, additive manufacturing, and other applications in a wide range of manufacturing sectors, including automotive, aerospace, rail transportation, heavy industries, mould manufacturing, casting and foundry, and medical.
