Stratasys, a global leader in applied 3D printing technology solutions unveiled Voxel Print software solution at its Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) Printing Forum held in India. The new software solution known as GrabCAD Voxel Print provides true voxel level control or allows designers to manipulate 3D printed material concentrations, structures, and colour mapping of a model from scratch using voxels or 3D pixels which allow full control of the material or the properties.
Being a pioneer in the 3D printing technology, Stratasys’ main aim is to demystify the technology and make it accessible to local manufacturers so that they gain advantages of 3D printed products and understand the ways the technology can benefit them.
Speaking at the Stratasys Conference which was held in Bangalore, Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director India, Stratasys said, “There is a vast market opportunity in product prototyping which is not being addressed by the current 3D-printing systems and our annual User Conference provides an excellent platform for industry leaders to exchange knowledge and discuss about the ever-changing dynamics of the industry”. 3D printing is only going to evolve in the future and is expected to revolutionise every single industry, said Bajaj.
The technology solutions provided by Stratasys have been benefiting several large Indian companies. For example, speaking at the conference, Saurabh Singh, the Studio Head (DGM) Design Studio of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. said “Being Fast, Flexible and First to meet unique customer requirements is in the core values of Maruti Suzuki. Our association with Stratasys has been strong and their prototyping solutions have contributed in design development stages of our wide spectrum of products. We continuously strive for technologies that help us in faster design visualization. I congratulate Stratasys on this User Forum. It’s a great platform where industry experts shared new developments and usage scenarios.”
The APJ 3D Printing Forum or the Stratasys Conference is an annual event hosted by Stratasys since 2014 to promote the adoption of 3D Printing Technology across the region. The forum is designed with an aim to provide a platform where industry leaders and end-users can meet and exchange key insights on the latest trends, the best practices and applications in 3D Printing.
