In its latest 3D printing podcast – Episode 8, Matt Griffin, Director of Community Development at Ultimaker, chats to several experts working in (or alongside) the food and beverage industry. They reveal how additive manufacturing has already transformed this sector, and discuss the impact it will have in the future.

The industry was already experiencing seismic change before the COVID-19 pandemic, with increasing numbers of companies incorporating 3D printing into their workflow. Now, various innovators working in the food and beverage sector share their current experiences, plus some insight into their strategic AM plans for the coming years.

The first guest is Ultimaker’s, Jeremy Evers. As part of his role as Application Engineer, Jeremy travels around the world, supporting businesses with their 3D printing applications. Over the years, he’s worked with numerous companies in the food and beverage sector. He explains how these multinational businesses are using AM to streamline processes, boost output, and increase in-house capabilities.

The second guest is Steve Cox, an industrial 3D design and additive manufacturing adoption consultant, who works closely with traditional manufacturers seeking to test the waters of 3D printing within their businesses for the first time.

And the 3D printing podcast episode concludes with a conversation with writer and consultant Joris Peels (3DPrint.com). He gives a journalist’s perspective on the industry’s developments, and how much potential 3D printing has to offer companies operating in this sector.

This 82-minute 3D printing podcast gives a sneak peek into the interesting insights from the food and beverage industry. This is the 8th episode and users can listen to earlier episodes on the Talking Additive Website.
