DELTASYS E-FORMING, a developer and manufacturer of advanced 3D printing machines and CNC machining centres, is pleased to announce that it will exhibit its most recent technological advancement at the IMTEX 2023 exhibition in Bengaluru. At the event, which runs from January 19 to 25, 2023, the company will showcase one of its cutting-edge 3D printers, a Hybrid Large Format Additive Manufacturing (LFAM) system.
The LFAM operates similarly to a standard pellet extrusion system, with the addition of a CNC head that performs trimming after the 3D printing process is completed.
Hybrid Large Format Additive Manufacturing System
The Hybrid LFAM system is a versatile and powerful 3D printing technology for producing large-scale, high-quality parts and structures. The system combines additive and subtractive manufacturing techniques to produce parts with high dimensional accuracy and surface finish, making it suitable for a wide range of applications in the aerospace, automotive, and manufacturing industries.
The Hybrid Large Format Additive Manufacturing (LFAM) approach to part production employs a pellet-based extrusion system. This allows for faster speeds and more consistent results, comparable to traditional manufacturing, with trimming (read post-processing) performed with a CNC head.
The machine’s most intriguing feature is that users can choose from a variety of extrusion heads with extrusion volumes ranging from 25kg/hr to 100kg/hr. Users can select whichever is required for the product they intend to print.
Visitors to the DELTASYS E-FORMING booth will be able to see the Hybrid LFAM system in action, as well as a variety of large 3D printed parts, furniture, and other objects made possible by the technology. The company will also be on hand to demonstrate the Hybrid LFAM system, answer questions, and discuss potential applications and benefits.
“We are thrilled to be showcasing our Hybrid LFAM system at IMTEX 2023. This technology represents a major advancement in 3D printing and has the potential to revolutionize the way large parts are produced. We look forward to demonstrating its capabilities and discussing the many benefits it can provide to manufacturers and other users.”
