Optomec Appoints HUSUN Technologies as Reseller to Expand LENS 3D Printing System in China

Optomec, a world leading supplier of production grade additive manufacturing systems for metal and electronics 3D printing, announced its partnership with Chinese technology group HUSUN Technologies to resell its LENS 3D printing system for 3D Printed Metals in China.

Optomec is promoting its patented systems and is partnering up with global companies to expand its customer base worldwide. Recently, Optomec also partnered with Tesscorn to expand additive manufacturing in India and now an expansion in China is a similar step in the same direction.

Husun Technologies, is focussed on promoting advanced industrial additive manufacturing solutions in China. This has helped them to establish a diverse set of customer base from Automotive, Aerospace, Academic and other industries. Optomec aims to leverage this clientele to expand its presence in China.

Speaking on the partnership, Ms. Qiao, General Manager of Husun Technologies said, “Optomec is an internationally famous company in the field of metal additive manufacturing and we are pleased to partner with them in their global development strategy. We see a large market opportunity for metal additive manufacturing technology in the region and are expanding our sales and sales service teams to promote and support LENS technology to various application fields in China.”

Optomec has patent for LENS 3D printing system for 3D printing of metals which uses energy from powerful lasers to print parts layer-by-layer directly from powdered metal materials. It can either be used to build a new part or repair an existing part by adding specific amount of material. The LENS 3D printing system is the leading DED solution available in the market with more than 100 installations in 15 countries. Optomec has also developed a new LENS machine tool system which offers affordable metal 3D printing with no compromise on quality standards. The new system is reportedly 10 times faster than regular powder bed fusion and available at a lower price.

Optomec Director of Asia Pacific Sales, Pascal Pierra said, “We are very happy to partner with HUSUN to expand sales of LENS metal additive manufacturing systems in China. The HUSUN team has an excellent track record delivering advanced industrial manufacturing solutions including equipment, application technology, and post-sales support.  They’re already off to a great start with sales of two LENS systems.”
