SLM Solutions to Share Application-based Examples of Successful Metal AM at EMO Hanover

At EMO Hanover, the world trade fair for metal processing, SLM Solutions will present an attractive program of in-booth lectures providing attendees with information on how to get started and be successful with metal additive manufacturing.

The 3D printing process known as Selective Laser Melting offers a wide range of possibilities in the additive manufacturing of metal-based parts. Additive manufacturing allows metal parts to be created with internal structures allowing the part to be stronger and lighter than if it were produced through traditional manufacturing methods. Visitors to SLM’s booth will be able to observe live metal 3D printing on their in-booth machine using the selective laser melting process. 

SLM Solutions‘ in-booth lectures will highlight interesting, real-world success stories from a wide range of industries already using SLM^® technology such as aerospace, automotive, energy, toolmaking, medical and dental. In-booth application examples will include a monolithic, 3D-printed rocket engine with an integrated functional cooling structure, and the world’s first additive manufactured series turning tool for the cutting industry from Arno Werkzeuge.
